With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melody Jean Strauss (Washington, Illinois), born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on June 1, 2019 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip A. Horn and Dorothy Jean Walker Horn; her brother W. D. Horn; and her brother-in-law Mark Barnard. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Fuery (Mark) of Phoenix, AZ, Charles Strauss (Kristin) of Algonquin, IL., Frederick "Rick" Strauss (Renee) of Burlington, WI and Kevin Strauss (Mandi) of Pekin, IL.; her grandchildren, Caitie Strauss, Emily Jorgensen, Jennifer Becker, Sarah Strauss, Hannah Strauss, Alyssa Reinke, Tyler Reinke, Khyden Strauss, Teyah Strauss, Tynsee Strauss, Leah Strauss and Landen Sale; her great grandchildren, Myka, Oaklee, Kinslee, Melodee, Haizel, Easton and Maddox; and her sisters, Anita Kizziar (Bill) of Dallas, TX and Carol Barnard of Georgetown, TX. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
