It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary L. Hanson of Washington, Illinois, born in Houston, Missouri, who passed away on October 5, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest A. DeWitt and Marian Smith DeWitt; her spouse Dale F. Hanson; and her brother Allen "Bud" Grose. She is survived by: her son Richard Hanson (Christine); her sisters, Barbara Kay Johnson and Pat Thatcher; her grandchildren, David Hanson (Rachel) and Emelia Schinke (Aaron); and her great grandchild Quinn Hanson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
