Linda Steiger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Steiger of Washington, Illinois, born in Tamms, Illinois, who passed away on November 6, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hamby "Bill" Haney and Nell Etherton Haney; her former husband Raymond Ellis Sr.; her husband Roger D. Steiger; her stepchildren, Norman Steiger and Bobbie Steiger; and her sister Martha Burd.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Ellis (Loretta) and Nancy Godsey (Niles); her stepdaughter-in-law Lisa Steiger; and her brother Hamby Haney Jr.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory (2075 Washington Rd, Washington, IL 61571). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to OSF Hospice.
