She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward W. Sloter and Nina V. Perkins Sloter; her brother Richard; and her stepfather Stephen Mitrovich. She is survived by: her husband Daniel D. Ryan; her daughters, Jennifer Nunamaker of Washington and Carrie Peterson of Washington; her granddaughters, Becca and Rachel Peterson; and her siblings, Sharon Gates (Ray), Patricia Barrilleaux and Robert Sloter.
