He is survived by: his pet Blarney; his mother-in-law Mary Frances Bath; his children, Therese Matthews (Mike Dayton), Peter Matthews (Sherrie Emoto), Frances Matthews (John Weitekamp), Joseph Matthews (Karen Fiorino), Kathleen Faloon (Jim), Paul Matthews (Lisa), Pat Matthews (Steve Kelley) and Rebecca Rubiera (Tony); and his mother-in-law Mary Therese Galvin (Terry).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Planned Parenthood or his church Trust.
