She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustaf Ostrom and Ann Scheib Ostrom; her husband James Huber; and her daughter Karen Mellody. She is survived by: her sons, Brian Huber (Melinda) of Germantown Hills, IL and Peter Huber (Kristine) of Freeport, IL.; her grandsons, Collin, Jared, Matthew, Timothy and Andrew; and her sister Anne Vadino of Whitehouse Station, NJ.. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
She found solace in the beauty of nature and was an active member of the International Crane Foundation, contributing to the preservation of these majestic birds.
