It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karl Witt (Washington, Illinois), born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on August 2, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Witt and Jessie VanDettum Witt. He is survived by: his wife Joyce McIntyre; his children, Matt Witt of Farmington, Karen DeWitt (Gabriel) of Franklin, Christine Hyde (Melvin) of East Peoria, Brian Witt (Jenifer) of Commerce City, CO and Corey Witt (Angie) of Washington; his grandchildren, Amanda Crawford (Eric), Kristara Grebner (Dustin), Ashley Witt (James), Kaitlyn Servis (Jake) and Jayden Porter (Nick); his great grandchildren, Hayley, Adalyn, Aisley and Knox; and his siblings, Suzy Larson (Sam), Mitzi Timan (Ralph), Pete Witt (Tina), Harry Tillman, Patti Heitzman and Terry Heitzman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington Grade School District #52 or Washington Community High School for the benefit of their music programs.
