He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer J. Wood and Olive Shadwell Wood; his wife Nancy L. Lovins; his son Phillip; his daughter-in-law Ada; and his siblings, Evelyn, Virginia, Raymond, Nellie, Kenneth and June.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Wood, Joyce Wood Harter (Donald), Gregory "Mark" Wood, John Wood (Lois) and Lovina Wood Farden; and his brother Neil Wood (Edith). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Washington Public Library or to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
