It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Hopp of Washington, Illinois, born in Rock Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Hopp and Ann Hopp. He is survived by: his children, Robin Porporino (Mario) of Carefree, Angela Hopp of Bloomington, IL. and Kenneth Hopp (Mindy) of Washington, IL; his grandchildren, Shelby McKavitt, Maci Hopp, Daniel Roe and Brock Hopp; his great grandchildren, Ashton Roe and Remington Morris; and his sisters, Katie Van Olst, Winnie Sexton of California and Toni Van Wyhe of Minnesota.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Panthers 12th Man organization.
