We are sad to announce that on March 28, 2024, at the age of 84, Gene Harlan Hobbs of Washington, Illinois, born in Fancy Farm, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hobbs and Pauline Hobbs; his children, Thomas Hobbs and Karen Monk; his great grandchild Peyton Armstrong; and his siblings, Harold, Johnny Hobbs, Pat Willett and Linda Medley.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shanks; his children, Becky Armstrong (Bob), Don Hobbs (Karen), Sue Shannon (Nigel), Cindy Venegonia (Dan), Steve Hobbs (Angie) and Chris Hobbs (Wendy); and his sister Sue Pierceall. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's School.
