He was predeceased by: his brother E. J. Herzing; his mother-in-law Mary Hodel; and his grandparents, Dolores, Alexander Karpiak, Edward and Gladys Herzing.
He is survived by: his mother Charlene Marie Karpiak Herzing; his wife Leah Ruth Hodel; his father James Herzing; his son Raine Herzing; his brother Doug Herzing (Rita); his sister-in-law Rachel Hodel (Tom McCaw); his nephews, J. D., Nate Herzing and Logan McCaw; his niece Lexi McCaw; and his father-in-law Don Hodel.
