He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Elder and Norma Wright Elder; his father-in-law Neal Futhey; and his brother-in-law Don Higgins. He is survived by: his sons, Tom Elder (Stephanie) and John Elder; his sister Eileen Decker (Roger); his mother-in-law Jeanette Futhey; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Higgins and Richard Futhey (Pam). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gift of Hope.
