He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hessling and Eva Hibser Hessling; his granddaughter Peggy Meierhofer; and his siblings, Theresa, Dory, Marilyn, Bernita and George.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy J. Gregory; his children, Cathy Mallow (Ed), Anita Hessling, Mary Cohen (Craig), Joe Hessling (Jodi) and Becky Hessling; his grandchildren, Sarah West (Rob), Steve Mallow (Brandy), Jake Meierhofer (Kelly), Haley Whitaker (Ed), Dustin Grebner (Kristara), Megan Hessling, Jenna Crain (Anthony), Taylor, Joe and Jacob Boeding; and his siblings, Dave Hessling (Sue) and Rita Turman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
