It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Smith of Washington, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benjamin H. Smith and Easter Smith (Reeves); his wife Sally Harms; his children, Brian Smith (Joe Johnson) of Chicago, Jill Cranford (Bill) of Ottawa and Timothy Smith (Misty) of Durango, CO; his sister Cathie Maguire (Roy) of Edelstein; and his granddaughter Annabelle Gayle Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made in Cliff's memory to W. D. Boyce Council, Boy Scouts of America or to the Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House in East St. Louis or to the charity of the donor's choice.
