It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara A. Spurgeon of Washington, Illinois, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Keil and Eva Garber Keil; and her sister Mary Speck. She is survived by: her husband Olen W. Spurgeon; her sons, Bradley Spurgeon (Jane) of Washington and Daniel Spurgeon (Kathryn) of Washington; her grandchildren, Brett Spurgeon (Holly), Brittany Jacobs (Zach), Courtney Johnson (Tyler), Camille Cales (David) and Sara Spurgeon; and her sister Eva Marcussen (Jack) of Sparta, TN.. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to Methodist Hospice.
