He was predeceased by: his father Pete Beecher; and his father-in-law Gerald Buis. He is survived by: his mother Delores Jean Scott Beecher; his wife Barbara J. Buis; his stepmother Beverly Beecher; his mother-in-law Jeannie Buis; and his children, J. R. McGee (Matthew Schubert), Katie Sheppard (Jessica Britton), Jacob Beecher (Mary) and Cassandra Zoss (Ashley VanDorsten).
