He is survived by : his parents, Breece Root and Alice Root (Stoneking); and his siblings, Wanda Goldsmith (James), Deborah Root, Helen, Shawn Weaver (Cliffton), Bergis Root (Marriss Tully), Rebecca Root and Neysa Whippy (Rob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and great nieces and nephews.
