He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer LaBonte and Hazel LaBonte (Mathes); his wife Helen Alice LaBonte; his brother Terry LaBonte; and his stepson Johnny.
He is survived by: his children, Scott LaBonte (Barbara Winestock-LaBonte) of Santa Rosa, California, Ellen LaBonte of Yuma and Nancy Rose (Ken) of Buena Vista, Colorado; his stepchildren, Sandy Johnson of Keokuk, Cheryl Johnson of Warsaw, Bill Johnson (Sherry) of Keokuk and Joe Johnson (Rose) of Bloomfield, Iowa; and his siblings, Carroll LaBonte (Mary Kay Woolson) of Warsaw, Rod LaBonte (Barb) of Warsaw and Maxine LaBonte of Burlington, Iowa. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
