He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Green and Mae Green (Bagels); and his siblings, Evelyn and Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Glenna Sapp of Warsaw; his sister Alice Green of Hamilton; and his nephew Jesse Devericks. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of James Green.
