He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Edith Johnson (Anderson); and his brother Fred. He is survived by: his brother Freddie; his son Bret Johnson (Daisha); his wife Bobbie (Kida); his sons, Derek Obayashi (Mark) and Keith Obayashi (Andreia); his granddaughters, Juliana and Camila Obayashi; his brother-in-law Jeff Kida; his siblings, Marilyn Karnuth, George "Roger" (Pam), Ken (Debbie) and Donn (Sandy); and his pet Champ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
