She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Engel and Leonard Engel; her husband James Egert of Geneseo, IL; her sisters, Connie Laschanzky (Bob) and Janet Freeman (Larry); and her grandsons, Andrew Rasmussen and Nathan Egert.

She is survived by: her children, Gene Egert (Cheryl) of West Chicago, Stephen Egert (Alexis) of Burr Ridge, Sheila Belon (Mitchell) of Geneva, Julie Hunnewinkel (Michael) of St. Charles, Sue Rasmussen (Mike) and Shawn Egert (Karen) of Yorkville; and her brother John Engel (Bonnie) of Davenport, IA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home (44 S Mill St, Naperville, IL 60540). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Irene Catholic Church (28w441 Warrenville Rd, Warrenville, IL 60555).
