He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Mooney and Frances M. Mooney (Roberta); and his brothers, John, Howard, Bill, Richard "Dick", Lawrence and David.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Stoddard; his daughters, Teresa Heffernan (Mike), Anne Matalonis (David) and Elizabeth Helton (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Paul Heffernan, Michael Heffernan (Alexandra), Molly Heffernan, Samantha Anderson (Drew), Jamisan Matalonis, Frances Helton and Audrey Helton; and his great grandchild Eloise Rose Heffernan.
