She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Melton and Martha Margaret Melton (Owens); her grandchildren, Andrea Carter and Tiffany Carr; her great grandchild Victoria Rheam; and her siblings, Robert Melton and Phyllis Toroum.
She is survived by: her children, Lonnie Howard (Reba) of Walnut Hill, Julia Curtner of Walnut Hill, Connie Alderdice of Westmoreland, Gayla Harnacke of Havana, Jason Howard of Walnut Hill and Jeremy Howard (Chandra Dame) of Walnut Hill; her grandchildren, Adam Curtner, Josh Curtner, Sherry Kwapinski, Justin Riddle, Zachary Riddle, Comalea Riddle, Emmanuel Riddle, Brannon Harnacke, Mariscia Fairow, Dillon Howard, Brittany Pitts and Emily Howard; and her siblings, William "Junior" Melton, Steven Melton, Lloyd Melton, Shirley Troutt, Caroline Hill and Louise Tate. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
