He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Penny Davidsmeier; his mother Sarah Davidsmeier; his children, Elissa Harrison (Chad), Victory Moore, Maria Davidsmeier of Minneapolis and Thomas Davidsmeier (Rebecca) of St. Charles, IL.; his grandchildren, Lydia Davidsmeier, William Davidsmeier, Lucy Harrison, Maxwell Moore, Hannah, Myra, Sarah, Rachel, Joseph, Peter, Ezekiel and Nineveh Davidsmeier; his father Russel Ernest Davidsmeier; his sister Susan L. Davidsmeier Smith; and his son Andrew Martin Davidsmeier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Cass County Food Pantry or Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
