He was predeceased by: his parents, Primo Bernardini and Lena Casassa Bernardini; and his sister Helen Conor. He is survived by: his children, Joe Mark Bernardini (Kathy) of Parker, Colorado, Jane Charbonneau (late Dale) of Peru, Illinois, Jim Bernardini (Gayla) of Chesterfield Missouri and Julie Rourke (Dan) of Chatham, Illinois; his sister Elva Bergonia; and his daughters, Sally, Sue and Jill. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home (102 S Cass St, Virginia, IL 62691). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Luke Catholic Church (240 E Myrtle St, Virginia, IL 62691).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Park District or St. Luke Parish.
