He was predeceased by: his parents, Marian Ehrich and Joseph D. Ehrich Sr.; his sibling Haldon Ehrich (Sima); and his brother-in-law Allan Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his daughters, Jennifer Villarreal (Marshall) and Monica Steele Sr. (Brian); his grandchildren, Ava Villarreal, Brian Steele Jr. (Sara), Brandon Steele and Brieanna Oosting (Nick); his great grandchildren, Willow Marie Steele and Rayna Geraldine Oosting; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Sauer, Wendall Thompson (late Dorothy) and Lila White (Steve).
The lying in state was held on Wednesday, January 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Paul Lutheran Church (330 W Highland Dr, Chicago Heights, IL 60411). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
