He was predeceased by: his parents, George William Scholes and Lena Mae Stigall Scholes; and his sister Louise Jones (Paul). He is survived by: his daughters, Patty Smith (Dean) of Ashland, Kimberly Scholes of Ashland and Robynne Heinemann (Curt) of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Kendra White of Jacksonville, Patrick Sapp (Benivia) of Knoxville, TN, Kelly Kunz (Jeff) of Rochester, Travis Bixby of Ashland, Renee Gross (Darren) of Pleasant Plains, Brittany White (Wes) of Jacksonville and Ashlie Long (Tyler) of Franklin; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Dylan, Cadan, Bowan, Drew, Gabe, Quin, Hayden, Colton, Jacob, Annabelle, Natalie and Riley; his brother Paul Scholes of Virginia, IL; and also Aden Hartke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
