It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emanuel Raphael Arbel of Virginia, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Raphael Chekerdjiev and Chanah Chekerdjiev; and his sibling Rachamim Arbel. He is survived by: his wife Carmela Arbel; his children, Tal Arbel-Newman (David Newman), Ifaat Arbel Bosse (Steven), Rafi Arbel (Jennifer), Saba, Noah Emanuel, Jonah Newman, Ari, Danielle Bosse, Emanuel Joseph, Jacob and Isaac Arbel; and his sibling Sima Shoev (late Nisim).
