He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Sargent and Mildred Sargent; his sisters, Cleo Haworth and Kathy Baldwin; and his son-in-law Gilbert Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Sargent; his daughters, Debbie (Ron Grant), Donna Sargent and Linda Sargent-Hernandez; and his grandchildren, Garrett (Hayley), Nicole, Craig, Ronnie Grant, Scott, Diane Prokopek, Caden and Meagan Hernandez.
