He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Summers and Lottie E. Summers (Young); his wife Joyce E. Summers; his close friend Helen Summers; his grandson Adam Brun; his siblings, Buelah Young, Margorie Presley, Karleen Cornett, Peggy Kimmel and James "Buddy" Summers, Jr.; and his close friend Bill Conklin.

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Howard (Russ), Denise Hoyt (Clay), Grey Bahorich (Jamie), Shawn Bahorich, Kimberly Summers (Terry Wirick) and Kelly Summers (Darrin Donahue); his grandchildren, Duston Bahorich (Heather), Alex Brun, Chris Corona, Auston Bahorich, Brianna Brun (Arjan Spaninks) and Matt Corona; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Lillie Bahorich; and his siblings, Janice "Lovell" Gross, Ronald Summers, Gale Dykes, John Summers (Rosemary) and Pamela Summers. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
