Betty Garver Obituary
The memory of Betty Garver of Virginia, Illinois, who passed away on December 22, 2024 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hantle and Gladys Hantle (Grubbs); her husband William E. "Bill" Garver; her siblings, Marie Chevron, Eugene Hantle, Bernard Hantle, Therese Miller and Sharon Dulgar; and her grandchildren, Autumn Graves, Micah Mefford and Bridget Dambacher.
She is survived by: her children, Debby Krohe (Richard), Kathy Snow (Ed), Chris Yost (Michael), Diane Dambacher (James), Beth Cox (Ricky), Bill Garver Jr. (Jackie), David Garver (Aura), Patrick Garver (Anita) and Tim Garver. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 3:45 PM at the St. Luke's Catholic Church (240 E Myrtle St, Virginia, IL 62691). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Virginia Schools, Walker Nursing Home Activity Fund, or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
