Thelma Lucille Hankins Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2022, at the age of 92, Thelma Lucille Hankins of Virden, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Hart and Bertha Hart (Snowden); her husband Richard Hankins; her sisters, Lavern Lamb and Bernice Love; and her nephews, Randall Love and Kenneth Ray Lamb.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Hankins (Carol) of Girard and Russell Hankins (Marcia) of Virden; her close friend Harvey Bettis of Hettick; her grandchildren, Sgt. Gary Hankins of Fayetteville, NC, Gini Jenkins (Jeff) of Virden, Rachel Hankins of Chatham, Vanessa Ersery (Walter) of Virden and Dan Wallace (Mary) of Rochester; and her great grandchildren, Megan of Virden, Mallory Jenkins of Virden, Isabella of Virden, Lilliana of Virden, Everett of Virden, Kately, Maddie, Trent Hankins (Desiree) of Fayetteville, NC and Lindsey McDouglad of Fayetteville, NC. She is also survived by two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested and may be made to the Prairie Land Ambulance and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden who is honored to be caring for Thelma's family.
