He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Monk and Rose Monk; and his siblings, Sue Hale and Sam Monk. He is survived by: his wife Betty Swaggerty; his children, Gregory Monk, Christina Pruiett (Justin) and Brian Monk (Julie); his grandchildren, Austin Pruiett, Colin Pruiett, Emily Monk, Abigail Monk, Barrett Monk and Madison Monk; and his siblings, Walter Monk Jr., Shirley Atwood and Linda Woodley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions a private ceremony will be held at a later date.
