He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Baker and Mary Baker (Wortham); his brothers, William "Bill" Baker and Donnie "Barney" Baker; his half-sister Deloris Ross; and his nephews, Patrick Baker and Eric Baker.
He is survived by: his siblings, Leon Baker (Joyce), Ronald "Ronnie" Baker (Chris) and Helen Katzenmaier; his half-sister Arlene Love; his nephews, Ryan Baker (Jodi), Michael Baker (Beverly), Alan Baker (Michelle) and Ronnie Baker, Jr.; and his great-nephews, Cameron Baker, Greyson Baker, Cody Baker and Jesse Baker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home (521 N Springfield St, Virden, IL 62690). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested and may be made to the Elmer E. Vance Post #386 American Legion and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden who is honored to be caring for Gilbert's family.
