He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Franz and Patricia Shankel Franz; his brother James "Jim" Rogers; and his father-in-law Bill Bettis. He is survived by: his wife Tracey Rogers of Virden, IL; his daughters, Jessie Davis (Jefferson) of Carlinville, IL, Jennifer Longmeyer (Derek) of Greenfield, IL and Makenzie Metsker (Austin) of Taylorville, IL; his grandsons, Ayden, Greyson, Hudson, Conor and Brandt; and his siblings, Robert Franz of Virden, IL, Steven Rogers (Sarah) of Morrisonville, IL and Kimberly Dugan (Don) of Carlinville, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Girard Cemetery, Memorials are suggested to the family.
