She was predeceased by: her parents, William Uchtman and Mathilda Uchtman (Tiemann); her husband George Howarth; and her daughters, Martha Jones and Rachel Cornwell.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Jones (Leora) of Irving, IL, Bill Jones (Lorna) of Hillsboro, IL, Ned Jones (Sonja) of Virden, IL, Geordie Howarth (Missy) of Virden, Mary "Jane" Jones of Virden, IL, Alice Hayes (Mike) of Pleasant Plains, IL and Carol Stout of Springfield, IL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden who is honored to be caring for Elena's family.
