He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edwin and Mary Reischauer (Bridgeman); his former wife Darlene Gail Wrightsman; his son David; and his sister Jacquelyn Ice.
He is survived by: his wife Willa L. Smith; his children, Jill Mortimer (Steve) of Auburn and Dana Reischauer (Audrey); his daughter-in-law Pat Reischauer of Virden; his grandchildren, Marcie Goldberg (DJ), Holly Schinzler (Lance), Natalie Duewer (Ethan), Kaley Reischauer, Christian Reischauer and Shawn Reischauer; and his niece Lynn Jones (Tim). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested and may be made to the Virden Church of the Brethren and will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden who is honored to be caring for Dan's family.
