As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyndal E. Smith and Mary E. Robinson Smith of Hagaman, Illinois.; her husband O. Allen Butcher; her sister Virginia Reid; and her grandchildren, Annisa Mendenhall and Brandon Mendenhall.
She is survived by: her children, Dawnal Wallace (Walter) of Virden, IL, Brad Butcher (Nancy) of Springfield, IL and Brent Butcher (Kim) of Decatur, MI; and her brothers, Mick Smith (Linda) of Carlinville, IL and Bob Smith of Chesterfield, IL. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
