He was predeceased by: his brother Carl "Andy" Carlton; and his friend Mike Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Debra Whitmore; and his children, Melissa Purchase (Jason) of Viola and Chadrick Carlton (Katherine) of Toulon, IL.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
