He was predeceased by: his father Henry Sr.; his sister-in-law Vicki Hanson; and his grandson Dalton Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Jackie G. Gregg; his children, Sherri Young (Curt) and Jon Hanson (Carissa); his siblings, Jeff Hanson (Sharon), Jim Hanson, Janis Koehn (Ken), Lois Moore (Rick) and Dave Robison (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Amy Jo LaMere (Duane) of Viola, Illinois, Judy Young (Gerry) of Viola, Illinois, Gary Gregg (Bobbie) of Viola, Illinois and Michael Gregg (Monica) of Viola, Illinois.

The family request, instead of flowers, memorials be made in Hank's name to the United Community Church.
