It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas H. Slagel of Viola, Illinois, who passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Slagel (Britton). He is survived by: his father Gerald L. Slagel; his wife Rosemary Atkins; his children, Douglas H. Slagel, Jr., Tamara and Wes Fields; his stepchildren, Richie Phillips, Shawn Epplin and Nicholas Epplin; his sister Deb; and his brother-in-law Shawn Parrish. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
