He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra; and his parents, Hildegard Dollinger and Alferd Dollinger of Aurora, Illinois.. He is survived by: his children, Steven Dollinger (Julie), Deborah "Dollinger" Stear and Julie "Dollinger" DeSalvo (Albert); his grandchildren, Ryan DeSalvo (Allison), Jacob, Christopher DeSalvo, Philip Dollinger, Crystal Dollinger and Daniel Stear (Erin); his great grandchildren, Charlie, Benjamin DeSalvo, Ellery, Ainsley Stear and Caden Dollinger; his sister Joan Lutz of Aurora; his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Ellis of Aurora and Linda Dollinger of Naperville; his brother Paul Stare; and his sister-in-law Mary Stare of Florida.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steuerle Chapel (350 Ardmore Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181). A prayer was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:15 AM at the St. Alexander Catholic Church (300 S Cornell Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181).
