He was predeceased by: his son John Stob III; his parents, John G. Stob, Sr. and Sadie Stob; his fathers-in-law, Dave Harms and Dick Carney; and his siblings, Beverly Folkerts (Peter), Donna Buziecki (late Roy), Gayle Kovar (Ron) and Jan Slager (Tim).
He is survived by: his spouse Taren Stob; his daughter Jennifer; his stepmother Elaine Stob; his mother-in-law Colleen Martin (Gus); his stepsiblings, Lois Otten (Dave), Diane VanDrunen (Dan), Paul Sterenberg (Sharon), Peter Sterenberg (Jennifer) and Scot Sterenberg (Stacey); and his brother-in-law Wes Carney (late Cathy).
