With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Briggs (Vienna, Illinois), born in Charleston, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Paula Mueller. He is survived by: his daughters, Katherine "Katie" Briggs Hodges (Parker) of Ft. Walton Beach and Joan Marie "Jody" Briggs of Josephine, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Greta Katherine Briggs Kyburz and Brennan Scott Briggs Kyburz. He is also survived by other relatives, many friends, and dedicated and faithful caregivers.

Over the years Bud was honored with multiple awards and other recognition for his contributions to all these various groups.
