She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Elkins and Myrtle Elkins (Haley); her husband Leonard C. "L. C." Thompson; and her siblings, Phylis and Ricky.
She is survived by: her son Steven; her daughter-in-law Lisa Thompson of Buncombe; her close friend Clinton Warren; her grandchildren, Alissa (Adam), Stephanie and Deanna; her great grandchildren, Logan, Caroline, Cera and Constance; and her siblings, Monette, Linda, Barbra and Mitchell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
