James D. Collie Obituary
We bid farewell to James D. Collie (Vienna, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 17, 2025 at the age of 90. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Collie and Janie Paralee Collie (Medlin); and his siblings, Leone Koerner, Magdalene Wells, Rosalee Whitelock and Jack Collie.
He is survived by: his wife Glenna M. Murrie; his daughters, Connie Bremer (Charles) of Glen Carbon, Debbie Cogdill of Vienna and Jamie Petersen of Vienna; his grandchildren, Doyle Bremer, Chelsea Bremer (Brandy), Chandra Homann (Nick) and Sarah Martin (Paul); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Madilyn, Evelyn, Jocelyn, Ayla, Gage, Devon, Kolten, Addison, Cadence, Madison and Raven; and his brother Metro Brick. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home (705 N 1st St, Vienna, IL 62995). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
