He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest "Bill" Stewart and Millie Stewart (Rich); his brothers, William E. "Bill" and Franklin "Pete"; and his nephew Richard Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Julie A. Leuallen; his daughters, Diane Richter (Randy) of Troy, Connie Mills of North Carolina and Vicki Recht (Ron) of Crainville; his grandchildren, Justin Richter (Melissa) of Seattle, Alisa Richter of St. Jacob, Ashlyn Mills of Des Moines, Christa Mills of North Carolina and Bradley; his great grandchildren, Owen Richter, James Recht and Allison Recht; his niece Nancy Cox (Terry); his nephew James Stewart (Colleen); and his pet Zack.
