He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Averitt and Alice Averitt (Harris); his siblings, Bonnie Streetman, Blanche McBride, William B. "Bill" Averitt, Sr., Earl David Averitt, Stephen Daniel Averitt and James Eugene Averitt; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Abner Averitt, Louise Davis Averitt, Clarence Streetman, Henry McBride and Darrell Harris.
He is survived by: his siblings, Clarence Edward Averitt and Alice Rose Harris of Vienna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
