He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Marlee Clare Bennett. He is survived by: his parents, P. D. Mathis and Donna Hope Mathis (Carter); his wife Betty J.; his children, Bobby Bennett (Kase), Christy Jo Eleam of Metropolis and Jeremy Eleam of Southport, Florida; his grandchildren, Dalton Eleam, Mariah Eleam, Olivia Eleam, Jayde Vickers, Dani Carnes, Roxanne Eleam, Jesse Eleam, Allyson Eleam-Smith and Destry Bennett; and his siblings, Mark D. Mathis (Sheri) and Tracey L. Bray (Jon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
