He was predeceased by: his parents, William Andrew Smith and Helen Frances Rudsell Smith; his son Michael Gene Smith; his siblings, Robert Duane Smith, Bettie Lou Rosa, Dorothy Louise Bringer, Carlene Frances "Cookie" Johnson and Patricia Ann "Tunie" Jackson; and his father-in-law Roy Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Baker; his caregiver Judy; his sons, Thomas Andrew (Kim), Douglas Roy and Daniel Lee; his siblings, Lonnie Eugene Smith, Billie Keith Smith and Janet Marie Bringer; and his mother-in-law Ruby Baker. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the West Side Cemetery Association or the Fayette PAWS Program.
